This year marks the 41st anniversary of Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s National Amateur Golf Tournament, hosted by the Greater Pensacola SAE Alumni Association. The tournament is SAE’s longest running alumni association sponsored event. Come experience brotherhood, golf, sun and the sugar white beaches of Florida’s Gulf Coast.
The 2019 tournament is tentatively planned to follow the same format as last year’s tournament. “2 man team event” play will be the 2-day tournament’s format, Better ball the first day and a 2 man scramble the 2nd. For brothers who can only attend one day, a handicapped, ‘Pull Your Points’ round has been added for Friday only. This should encourage exciting two days of action, while accommodating local brothers whose schedules might not allow a longer commitment. Two trophies will be awarded in each of the four flights, as well as awards for closest to the pin and longest drive. There are awards for the lowest score for an undergraduate brother and lowest score for a brother over age 55 on Friday May 5th. The Top 3 places will be awarded at Friday’s ‘Pull Your Points’ competition.
